Equipment Services

Support does not end when equipment arrives on site. We help with installation, servicing, workshop attention and practical advice that keeps kitchens moving.

How to choose the right service for your kitchen

Not every kitchen needs the same level of support. A small takeaway in Pretoria Central may only need a fryer checked and positioned correctly, while a hotel kitchen in Centurion may need a full layout review, delivery, installation and staff handover. We look at the equipment, the power supply, the working space and the pace of service before recommending the next step.

If you are replacing one item, adding a second unit or planning a full kitchen change, we can quote on the equipment and the work around it. That includes access widths, counter heights, ventilation points, water connections where needed and the route from the truck to the kitchen. It sounds simple, but getting those details right saves time and extra call-outs later.

Equipment quotes, site assessments and planning

A proper quote starts with practical information. We ask what you are cooking, how many covers you serve, what power you have on site and whether the kitchen is running through load-shedding periods. In Gauteng, many sites need a plan for generator use, inverter support or staggered operation so the kitchen does not stall during peak trade.

  • Equipment quotes for new and used units
  • Site assessments before delivery or installation
  • Advice on fit, access and positioning
  • Planning for power points, heat and ventilation

For older premises in Pretoria and surrounding areas, we also check if the room can take the footprint and weight of the unit, especially where floors are uneven or where equipment has to move through a narrow passage. A quick assessment often avoids damage to walls, doors and finishes.

Installation, delivery and positioning done properly

Delivery is only part of the job. Equipment still needs to be placed where staff can work safely, cleaned around easily and reached for daily use. Our installation team handles the practical side of positioning, levelling and basic connection support so the equipment is ready for service and not sitting in the wrong corner of the kitchen.

We work across Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Kempton Park, Boksburg and Randburg, with deliveries arranged to suit trading hours where possible. If a fryer, toaster or mixer needs to go up a step, through a tight doorway or into a back room, we plan for that in advance. It is better to take ten minutes longer at delivery than to find out later that the item cannot be serviced properly.

Preventive servicing and breakdown repairs

Hot kitchens work hard. Fryers run daily, toasters get pushed through breakfast rushes and mixers and microwaves are used by many hands. Regular servicing helps catch worn switches, loose fittings, heating faults and build-up before those small issues become a full stop. In coastal humidity or in kitchens with heavy steam, corrosion and electrical wear can also creep in faster than expected.

  • Routine inspections and preventative servicing
  • Fault finding on heating, power and controls
  • Breakdown repairs for busy trading kitchens
  • Advice on care between service visits

When equipment fails, the question is usually how quickly it can be assessed and whether it is worth repairing. We give straight answers. If a repair is practical, we say so. If a unit is reaching the end of its useful life, we will explain that too, so you can plan instead of spending money twice.

Workshop refurbishment and used equipment sourcing

Not every kitchen needs new equipment. Sometimes a good used item, properly checked and brought back into working order, is the better choice. We source used equipment for customers who need to keep costs under control while still getting a machine that can handle daily service. Every unit is assessed for condition, serviceability and suitability for the job.

Our workshop also handles refurbishment work where an item needs attention before it goes back on site. That may include replacing worn parts, cleaning, testing and making sure the unit is fit for the kind of work it will do. For many small businesses, this is the difference between starting up and staying stuck.

Training, handover and kitchen changes

Even good equipment can be underused if the team has not been shown the right way to run it. We provide handover training so staff know the basic operation, cleaning routine and safe shutdown steps. This helps reduce call-backs and keeps the equipment in better condition for longer. It also gives the person on duty more confidence during a busy shift.

We also assist with kitchen reconfiguration when the workflow needs to change. A new menu, more covers or a tighter prep area can all mean moving equipment around. We help plan the layout so the work sequence makes sense and the staff do not walk back and forth for every task. In a small kitchen, that can save more time than people expect.
