These terms of use govern your access to and use of the Afchain Catering Equipment website operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd for Afchain Catering Equipment, based in Silverton, Pretoria. By using this site, requesting a quote, or sending an enquiry to quotes@afchain.co.za, you agree to these terms.

1. Website operator and scope

This website is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of Afchain Catering Equipment, a Pretoria business founded in 2011 and serving Gauteng from Silverton. The site provides general information about catering equipment, including fryers, toasters, mixers, microwaves, chafing dishes, used equipment, servicing, installation and related support.

These terms apply to all visitors, customers, suppliers and other users of the site. They do not replace any written quotation, purchase order, service agreement or invoice issued by Afchain Catering Equipment.

2. Enquiries, quotes and order acceptance

Information on this site is for reference only and does not by itself form a binding offer. A quote becomes valid only when issued in writing by Afchain Catering Equipment and accepted by the customer within the stated period.

  • All prices are subject to change until confirmed in writing.
  • Quotes may exclude delivery, positioning, installation, electrical work, plumbing, accessories or call-out fees unless stated otherwise.
  • Used equipment is supplied subject to its condition at the time of sale and may carry limited or no warranty, depending on the written quotation.
  • Afchain may decline an order where stock, site conditions or payment terms do not support fulfilment.

3. Delivery, site access and installation

Delivery and positioning are provided in Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Kempton Park, Boksburg, Randburg and surrounding Gauteng areas, subject to access and route conditions. The customer must ensure safe access, parking, offloading space and a suitable site for equipment placement.

Where installation or handover training is requested, the customer is responsible for confirming that the site is ready, including power supply, ventilation, drainage and any municipal or building requirements. Afchain is not liable for delays caused by unfinished site work, incorrect measurements or restricted access.

4. Servicing, repairs and workshop work

Preventive servicing, breakdown repairs, workshop refurbishment and kitchen reconfiguration are carried out with due care by Afchain staff, including the service and workshop teams. Service work may expose pre-existing faults, worn parts or installation issues that are not caused by Afchain.

  • Customers must disclose known faults, past repairs and any alterations made to the equipment.
  • Electrical and gas related work may require qualified third parties or compliance checks before recommissioning.
  • Afchain may recommend replacement instead of repair where parts are unavailable or the equipment is no longer economical to service.
  • Any collected equipment must be claimed within the agreed period or storage charges may apply.

5. Warranty limits and used equipment

Warranties, if any, are limited to the terms stated on the invoice or quotation. Damage caused by misuse, incorrect cleaning, power surges, load-shedding interruptions, poor ventilation, coastal humidity, unauthorised repairs or incorrect installation is excluded unless required by law.

Used equipment is sourced with care, but it is sold on the basis of its visible condition and disclosed history. Customers should inspect used items carefully and request clarification before payment. Minor marks, previous repairs and age-related wear are normal on second-hand equipment.

6. Intellectual property and acceptable use

All text, images, product descriptions, logos and layout elements on this site are the property of Afchain Catering Equipment or used with permission. You may view the site for lawful personal or business use, but you may not copy, reproduce, modify or distribute material without written consent.

  • Do not use the site to send false enquiries, spam or harmful code.
  • Do not interfere with site performance, security or access.
  • Do not misrepresent Afchain prices, stock status or service capability.
  • Any breach may lead to access being blocked and legal action where needed.

7. Liability, law and contact

Afchain Catering Equipment takes reasonable care to keep the website accurate, but errors may occur and information may change without notice. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Afchain is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, delayed opening, equipment downtime or any consequence arising from reliance on site content alone.
